Obviously we have an entropy problem with trying to keep up, even if we could figure out a way for cattle to harness nuclear fission for muscle growth.

Fusion, man, fusion! Fission isn't sustainable because it relies on the ash of supernova explosions. And we must be sustainable.
(But then I guess fusion also relies on the ash of the Big Bang so it isn't sustainable either...)
