Dear Santa, thank you for the dolls and pencils and the fish. It's Easter now, so I hope I didn't wake you but... honest, it is an emergency. There's a crack in my wall. Aunt Sharon says it's just an ordinary crack, but I know its not cause at night there's voices so... please please can you send someone to fix it? Or a policeman, or...
Back in a moment.
Thank you Santa.

Take The Train
I'm heading off to Tram Town next week to
bother visit my family. Naturally, I'm taking the train.
Why?
Here's why:
- Go to train website.
- Check timetable.
- Buy ticket online.
- Receive ticket as PDF via email.
- Print ticket on printer.
- Catch train.
- Snooze and/or read and/or watch anime and/or listen to iPod and/or play games on Palm Pilot as countryside rolls by. (I haven't got the extended battery yet so I'm limited to about 3 hours of anime.)

Well it is certainly easier than driving! ;-)
And cheaper with the current fuel prices...

I've taken AmTrack's high speed ACELA service several times in the last couple of weeks between DC and NY -- 1st Class is cheap and gives you not only free food & drinks, but also a real table to sit at if you're not among the last to board and there are electrical outlets to plug in your laptop.

I don't think you get that on Countrylink. The XPTs that run between Sydney and Melbourne were pretty fancy when they were introduced, but that was about 30 years ago. First class really just means better seats. Well, and more space.

This card sports two Nvidia 7800GT graphics chips and 512MB of memory.
This motherboard has four 16x PCI-Express slots. And
this delivers 1000W continuous and 1100W peak.

Actually from the picture (me no speak Francais) it looks like the multi-GPU card has an external power adaptor, so you don't need a 1000W PSU, instead a 4-port power board.

Forgive my rather... um... disjointed... comment up above. I had two teeth pulled yesterday, and was under the influence of a couple vicodin when I wrote it.
To make matters worse, it took me close to five minutes to type that sentence... because I was being careful with the spelling.
Dean, last I checked, the newest GPUs actually have a higher processor count than most P-III systems, and maybe even P-IVs. Scary, very scary.

Edmonton dominated the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday night and the 4-0 margin in Game 6 makes it hard to imagine the Oilers not hoisting hockey's Holy Grail above their heads in less than 48 hours. And it would not come as any shock to see defenseman Chris Pronger, who had another 31-minute night, take the honors for the Conn Smythe Trophy as the playoff MVP.

Vikings are BETTER than pirates... Pirates were overly-religious men, which had a big impact on their "fun"... vikings were more religiously-liberated, if I can say that.
And, of course, longboats are more phallic than those baroque, over-decorated and girly ships the pirates had!
