- Intel's second-generation "Battlemage" graphics cards are here and... They're actually pretty damn good. (Hot Hardware)
They're not perfect: Intel's drivers still hiccupped on a couple of games, resulting in slower than expected performance and some visual artifacts.
But the new B580 routinely outruns Nvidia and AMD cards costing 50% more. And it leaves Intel's previous generation A770 card in the dust on most tests, while using about half as much power.
And it delivers solid ray-tracing and AI performance. And it has 12GB of VRAM instead of the 8GB found on competitors like Nvidia's 4060 and AMD's 7600.
And it's cheaper at $249.
All in all, a good card at a good price, only let down by some minor driver issues. But the driver software has improved dramatically since the first generation of cards was launched, so those problems are likely to be fixed too.

Wait! After all this, does this mean that for MOST 2063 and 2064
games, the Intel B580 is the middle of the road graphic card to go
with?
I need to know this. I don't want to spend TOP dollar, but I want a good long-lasting card/cpu/system. You know?

Furball, it's generally between a 4060 and a 4060 Ti in performance. If you'd like lots of details, here's TechPowerUp's review of an Asrock model: https://www.techpowerup.com/review/asrock-arc-b580-steel-legend/32.html It goes to page 32 of a long article, which is charts of average performance across a bunch of games relative to a bunch of other cards. The page before the linked one shows a chart of FPS scores in about 20 games, and says it gets about 83FPS average across all those games. Earlier pages show performance in individual games. It seems like a pretty good midrange card.

Furball, AMD is likely to be launching its own mid-range cards (the 8600 through 8800) at CES next month, so you might want to wait for that.
