The Verge clearly pays its writers by the word, because it takes a very long time for this piece to come to the obvious conclusion that Nvidia is lying about everything.

He urged people to use Mastodon (which nobody uses) instead of Threads (which nobody uses).

I and others are from the US. Some of the bloggers report that browsers influence whether they can successfully post.
I haven't done any proper study of it myself, but I would guess that choice and version number of the browser could influence things like an excessive chance of timing out.
OTOH, I very much would not be surprised if some of the browser makers were doing some backdoor censory stuff that they have now quietly reversed.
