- Heroku did in fact just do that. (Open Folder)
The developer here has a Heroku setup using their queueing service to make sure emails are send out to users. Each event place in the queue is guaranteed to be delivered exactly once, so each user gets one email.
So Heroku gave them a second ghost queue, which they can't turn off but which magically duplicates every single email.

If dumbass lefty 'futurists' payed any attention to actual switching costs, and to estimates of personal and institutional reluctance to change on demand, their whole mental house of cards would collapse.
By June 9th, 2023, we will have replaced all of the asphalt in all the roads and parking lots with a mixture of diamond and gold.
My ass.
Okay, okay, barring a particular configuration of the New Jerusalem, but that is fairly explicitly not something that is supposed to be forecastable by secular means.
In theory, these futurists are purporting not to be pushing their religious beliefs on everyone.
In practice, their 'and then everyone will do what we think they can' makes them a facist cult.
