Ina just hit 1 million subscribers a couple of days ago, Gura just hit 2.75 million, Kiara scheduled a 12-hour marathon stream to take her to 1 million - and hit the mark three hours early while she was still asleep.
And then we got this:
Amelia, Gura, and Ina played Mario Party with a side bet that the winner could post anything they wanted on the others' Twitter accounts.

What is even more impressive is that, by some accounts, Gura is still adding subs at a faster rate than anyone else in Hololive. Right now, she has 1.2 million more subs than Korone, who has the next highest sub count.
At the pace Gura is setting, she might have twice as many subs as anyone else in Hololive before the year is out.

Everyone in HoloEN has publicly discussed their feelings of imposter syndrome. Even Gura, who I understand was very successful in her previous career, is embarrassed when anyone brings up her current popularity.
Speaking of which, a couple of very popular female English-language Vtubers just held unexpected and unusually upbeat retirement streams. It looks like HoloEN Gen 2 isn't far away.
