If ever there were proof we're living in a perverse sort of simulation, the fact that 'lacks perhaps the most long-lived and universally used electrical connector ever devised' is somehow a flagship phone feature has to be it.

$450 is budget if you're one of those types.
I paid around $50 for my most recent phone, and that's pretty stupidly expensive for something that was probably $2 FOB if you ask me.
