The scheme was this:
- Popular channel adds new video.
- Scan it for anything resembling any music you might have the license for.
- Whack it with a copyright claim and steal the revenue.
- Copyright claim gets overturned after a few days or a week.
- You still have the revenue you stole.
- Rinse and repeat.
- Amazon isn't just for fake 1TB SD cards anymore. (Serve the Home)
- Honestly, the main thing that derailed 5G wireless was 5G wireless. (ZDNet)
YouTube was deeply shocked that people abused this system that was basically designed to be abused.
