- Sony's PlayStation 5 Pro is here, priced at $699. (Tom's Hardware)
Or A$1200.
Not including a Blu-Ray drive or a stand.
Or any games worth playing, let alone games that would run better than on the regular PS5.
Tech News
- Starship has been ready to fly again since the beginning of August, but the government is keeping it grounded until at least November. (Ars Technica)
Because fuck you, that's why.

Soldered RAM, limited to 32GB.

Good for them. Most governments would be tripling down and calling you racist at this point.

Lunar Lake Laptop: his answer is "I have an extreme edge case". But also, maybe a 4P/4E CPU isn't the best choice for someone who wants to run compilers and multiple VMs. That doesn't say anything about its usefulness to anyone else.
I mean, I won't buy one either, but that's because my 4900HS is still running strong.

The comments at Arse Technica on that SpaceX story are about the worst I've seen, which is saying a lot for that site. The FAA is re-opening investigations and public comments and discussion on topics that have already been reviewed and approved, and that by it's own statements to SpaceX are fine and already fully covered in early reviews, and that have never been an issue for other launch companies and launch sites, and the people at Ars are acting like this all good and normal and SpaceX is at fault for not expecting this.

The FAA is merely responding to improper political pressure.
Biden can maybe damage aviation safety with executive orders or something, and weak reeds figure it is more important to 'prevent' that then it is to have regularity in the space stuff approval procedures.
