Story Notes
My name is Zoe Fairchild, though everyone calls me Minx. I live in Tarrytown, on the border of the fairy lands and the human world. I'm the city's top female private investigator, which means most months I can make the rent, or eat, my choice.
My parents abandoned me here to look after myself when I was twelve. They had their reasons, and I've mostly stopped hating them for it. Before they walked out, each one left me with a gift.
My mother, the practical one, gave me an ebony-handled Colt 45 Special, saying only that a girl needed to know at least three ways to knock a man dead.
My other mother gave me the Nine Words of Unbinding.
That's where all the trouble began.

There's a name for that! God, Arena fighting with bystanders rules-lawyering every combatant's power-ups or explaining why the last-ditch, never before used, but utterly unbeatable special technique failed to defeat the hero is the single most intolerable thing in Anime to me.
Seriously, I hate it.

It's an LHD country with white center stripe, so probably Australia (Japan is a yellow stripe country). Ergo, Sydney. Probably the western extension of the line, but not sure where.

Yup! Good reasoning, helps that you've been here.
They decided that what Sydney really needs is trams. Also five years of traffic chaos. Here we're looking down at construction along George St at the corner of Essex St, near Circular Quay.
In the process of constructing the new tram lines, they accidentally dug up the old tram lines, buried for more than 50 years.

Sunless Sea, the game of tramp steamers and eldritch horror, is getting a sequel: Sunless Skies.
Well duh the sky will be sunless if you go around murdering them.
The best moment I had in Sunless Sea was when I was sailing over a reef, then noticed that the reef was perfectly circular, then realised it was a closed eye... And then the eye opened. An eye dozens of times larger than my entire ship.
I didn't die, that time.
Sunless Skies had a Kickstarter that I missed, but they got 377% of their target anyway, so all is good and I'll buy it as soon as it comes out.
