I hope it all goes smoothly. Nothing showcases problems with a backup strategy than the need to actually recover. And even when everything goes perfectly it's still a pain.
And no matter what Herculean tasks you complete, people are never happy.
Like the power company... people flip the light switch 10,000 times and it works, so they never think about it, but that 1 time it doesn't work they are livid, not knowing what goes into making it function

I might've DDoS-ed my own section of Meenuvia. I posted a link to Fediverse and the blog immediately went down. It's either
- Weird DDoS protection that banned my IP from my own blog
or
- As instances cached the link, Mee.nu went down

Yeah, we're getting clobbered by AI bots looking for content as well as the usual SEO bots.
We're all on the one server, but my blog is configured slightly differently (for testing) and is a bit more resilient to this nonsense.
I'm banning a whole bunch more of the bots right now.
