In The Year 3535 Edition
Dokibird had around 10k subscribers yesterday. Now it's 245K and still climbing. That's an even faster rise than Kson.
In The Year 3535 Edition
Top Story
- Intel's upcoming W5-3535X high-end desktop CPU has been benchmarked. (Tom's Hardware)
It costs $1589.
What are the benchmark results, you ask?
No idea. The article leaves those details to your imagination.
Tech News
- Oh, were you using that? Facebook is deprecating its Groups API. (Tech Crunch)
If you use that to maintain communication with customers, well, it's gonna be dead in three months. Enjoy it while it lasts.
- The new Barnes & Noble Nook 9" is a Lenovo Tab M9. (Liliputing)
The problem is, the Tab M9 has a low-resolution, 1340x800 display, about the same as the original 2012 model of the Nexus 7. The hardware is far better than that old tablet in every other respect - four times the RAM and storage, and probably ten times the CPU performance - but the screen is just plain inadequate.
- There's probably more news somewhere.
Return of the Dragonbird Video of the Day After Tomorrow

I left a comment on that Tom's article, wherein I looked up the ratings for the 3435X and 3535X: "I did find one benchmark for the 3535X, rating it "good", with a 78.7%
rating, putting it 250th out of 1437. For comparison the 3435X was rated
92.4%, 122nd out of 1437., with an "excellent" average bench.
"
There was only one benchmark for the 3535X, and it wasn't "very good", so I don't know where the "very good" claim in the article came from.
I might have also called the lack of a link lame.

The only news items of interest to me today, that you didn't mention are a) mainly evidence that I am a jerk or b) Looks like Mike Johnson is screwing senate idiots on the very deal that he asked them to negotiate, he's put forward separate funding for Israel. c) Old article that I didn't read in 'Foreign Policy', which implies that the Chatham group are idiots when it comes to understanding Americans.

Pixy, I just tried to upload a picture to my blog (for the first time in like 10 years) and when I used the upload function, it failed with a fairly generic "you are not authorized" page, and then I got logged out. Any ideas?
My son was messing around in Infinite Whatsis again and got a bunch of firsts, and I was going to upload the screenshot I took, because they were mildly entertaining.

Rick, which browser?
Brickmuppet apparently had a browser issue with images in Brave, and Vivaldi worked okay. My vague memory of his problem sounds slightly similar.

Firefox, or else Edge, I forget which, either way with uBlock origin. I'll try both again today to be sure.

OK! I managed to upload the pic fine with Edge, so it must be an FF issue.
Let's see if I can do this right!
