1 "Particularly Google's threat to withdraw their search platform from Australia if their demands are not met."
Makes you wonder why they decided to cave to France.

2 Nothing builds confidence better than "lost the source code", right ?

3 True.
Now if they had plenty of time and a couple of programmers who are very familiar with C or C++ or whatever the game was written in they could more or less reverse-engineer the code from the executables (with obvious exceptions for things like obfuscators, code optimizations by the compiler, etc).  It's actually pretty easy to reverse-engineer non-obfuscated Java code, although you lose stuff like variable names, of course.

4 It could be worse - you could be Konami, where the role of discarding the source codes and gold masters and master copies is apparently a full time occupation at the company.

Though one of the more curious things I have heard about trying to recover source codes was about Panzer Dragoon Saga, where someone had allegedly gotten the rights to re-release it from Sega (Despite the source code was said to be lost.) and was apparently trying to re-engineer the game.  I never heard anything beyond that, so that might have been entirely fictitious.

I have been watching some of the Hololive-EN streams, and was surprised when Amelia Watson had one of the Hololive streamers from Indonesia on for a collaboration...And who spoke very good English.

Also, if Edge had the same interface for favorites that Firefox has, it would be perfect.

5 All the HoloID girls are at least tri-lingual - Indonesian, Japanese, and English.  You'd think that requirement might limit the talent pool but they seem to be doing just fine.

Nijisanji - the other big Japanese vtuber company - just launched an ID branch as well and they have 16 channels already, though none as big as the HoloID girls yet.  I just tuned into one channel and she's doing a lesson on colloquial Bahasa Indonesia.

Apple pies are delicious. But never mind apple pies. What colour is a green orange?
