The article says the tax would cost Brin $13 billion, but if so they have revised it. The original language would have hit Brin and Google co-founder Larry Page particularly hard due to how voting rights are assigned for their shares, sending his tax liabilities soaring to around $50 billion.

On the one hand, I do not think meteorological calculations are necessarily completely straightforward. On the other hand, having the OS people implement those on everyone's local machine would be literally insane. On the gripping hand, however they did it, the lack of controls on RAM and processor budgets is appalling.

but Padme/Anakin Tauri is a good alternative, right? (Better way to use Javascript and web developers for UI does not mean that you might not be better off with motif or something instead. But, presumably there are reasons why we can get GTK, FLTK, IUP, etc., and that motif has downsides I don't understand because I am not a real programmer yet. )
