I've been wondering if Altman has been finding some false flags, for PR ends, or if the ignorant morons (1) really have been spun up on the 'kill AI CEOs' agenda. (1) Normally, I try to only use moron and idiot (as opposed to spelling it idjit) for people who really do have the minds of five year olds, or ten year olds. But, I really do find it a bit difficult to accept that actual twenty year olds are functioning on so low a level. California, Yudkowsky's cult, and 'public schools and universities are terrible' explain a lot, but still.

CopprLnk sounds interesting but not at $2500+ the cost of a card.
On the other hand my Minisforum AI X1 has an OCuLink port and I'm seriously considering getting a spare PSU and a DEG1 or something so I can try messing around with eGPUs. Much as I like my 14700K desktop it's overkill for a lot of what I do, and the Ryzen 255 in the X1 has plenty of CPU for gaming, just not quite enough GPU grunt.
