This accidentally fell out of her pocket when I bumped into her. Took me four goes.

M-Series Update
Order placed - 61.5% discount, yay!
Between this and the great deal I got on Akane Mk III, we should be good for a couple of years.

Where'd The Internet Go?
I can only reach small randomly distributed parts of it. Fortunately including mu.nu/mee.nu.
Can't get to isitdownorjustme.com, which is alanic.
Hmm. Seems to be my ISP. My backup connection works.

Midori & Momoko
New servers this week: Midori and Momoko.
These will replace Mikan; the reason is that SoftLayer are finally running their elusive "triple double" special at a time when I can take advantage of it.
Generally, they run either a double-memory-and-disk special or a double-bandwidth special. I got Mikan on a double-bandwidth special. That means it has 4TB of bandwidth (which is pooled with Akane/Aoi), but only 2GB of memory and a single 250GB disk (I later added another 1TB drive).
With the "triple double" special I get double memory, disk, and bandwidth for no extra charge, so the plan is to get two low-end boxes like that (Xeon 3050 dual-core servers). That will give us 10TB of primary bandwidth (as well as the 100TB of media cache thingy bandwidth we have from Kurumi) which should keep us happy for a while.

But It's A Good Hurt
Okay, I have the video player updated and I have working streaming MP4. (See below.)
It was a pain to find the right combination of utilities and settings to do this, but the result speaks for itself - the video playback is smooth and detailed even in fullscreen mode on a 21" monitor.
You may need to give it a couple of seconds at startup to pre-buffer; I may be able to tweak a setting for that. Other than that, it's beautiful.

Updates
Just updated my licences so we can upgrade to Innova Editor 4.2 and JW Player 5.1.
Now I just need to crawl out from under this pile of servers and find the time to actually do that.
