Yeah, I am of the opinion that US labor regulations exist mainly to prevent employment of US persons, and to promote de facto practices of slavery. I would welcome the end of the NLRB, and of the Department of Labor, but the blue collar trade unions probably turned their coats to Trump in time to win some protection for parts of the status quo.

What I liked most about the "95% of AI fails" article was how it ever-so-quietly mentioned the elephant in the dataset: the successes were startups going "from $0 to $20 million in a year". Not mentioned is how much VC money the 20-year-old founders blew through to get that blip, and how much they're trying to raise this year.

Mebbe if Meta introduced a Nay Aye enabled posting bot for social media it would be like the snake eating its own tail.
"Reports indicate that social media posting is up over 10000% from last month . . ."

Guys, I have a business plan for a start up. A stupid plan. We turn VC money into commercials, and then go out of business. Academics are complaining about budget cuts, but it can be shown that a word salad machine is no worse than some academics. So we pay actors to wear a labcoat and a mortarboard, and speak our synthetic word salad.
