Funded in six hours.

Update: Now that I've watched the original, it's no surprise it funded so quickly.

2 Very true, that.  Though in this case, they give you the first episode free even if you don't back the second episode, so it's hard to complain.

For me, my day job pays well enough that I have all the ordinary needs and wants covered.  I could splash out on a $1000 GeForce Titan video card, for example, but really, my Radeon 7950 is good enough.  I seem to mostly play games that either aren't graphics-intensive or were graphics-intensive when they came out five years ago, so actually my old 4850 is good enough most of the time.

So most of the things I seriously want but don't have are things that don't exist.  For me, Kickstarter is one of those magical shops that drifts between dimensions and sells could-have-beens and never-weres.  And the track record of projects I've backed has been pretty good so far, with only a couple of notable hiccups (one being Double Fine).  Better than magical transdimensional shops usually manage, by all accounts.

3 That was totally wicked!  Holy CRAP was that fun!

4 After watching the first episode, I had to back it. First time I back something on Kickstarter, too. I'm sad that it'll take almost an year before the episode is done though.

I have been a bit perturbed about some of the more vocal people arguing against an English dub for Little Witch Academia.  I can see some of their points, but threatening to pull their pledges if an English dub is put into the stretch goals is...questionably silly would be a polite term for it.

Well, Kick-heart is shipping tomorrow, and Shadowrun Returns is sending out Steam keys in advance of release, so I might start seeing some payoff from my Kickstarter pledges.

And yes, Little Witch Academia is great.

6 Pixy?  As you're the master computer builder, I have a tech problem... see the post at The Pond for details, if you'd be so kind?

7 OT, but XKCD finally finished the Time comic.  This site has a slideshow thing so you can scan through the whole thing, if you don't like doing the animated gif thing (which I disliked, because you couldn't stop and read the text.)

9 Sorry, Pixy, but we've got a spammer who's logged in. He left two on my blog last night and I deleted them. A third just showed up so I "hid" it. He's also left two on Brickmuppet's blog.

12 Pixy, please visit Chizumatic. Mark made a link that doesn't act right when clicked, and I'm not sure how he did it.

14 When I click on his link, it gets smaller but it doesn't actually link. IE-10.

15 That's pretty bizarre.  For me, it works fine in Chrome, but in IE 10 it sort of dances--by which I mean it moves up a line or two on the page.  Hitting tab, then shift-tab, to make sure focus is on the link, and then hitting Enter will follow the link.
More:  That's weird; there's a pair of <brs there; one after the opening anchor tag, and another, I think, after the closing tag.
