1 I was watching one of the tech youtubers, I don't remember which one, and he kept calling the new chipset "T Rex".  AMD should steal that for their marketing.

2 .org:  I'm mildly disappointed that they couldn't figure out how to blame Trump, because I bet they just know it's his fault.

3 Yes, I've watched four different videos and one of them did call it T Rex but I can't remember who it was.

4 "They also make some nice laptops."

Sure.  Hope you don't need a warranty repair, though.

5 "SSDs which were put into service at the same time will likely fail nearly simultaneously."
Two different people near the top of that Reddit thread said they lost 6 drives "within 15 minutes of each other".

6 Yeah, something very much like this happened to our source control server recently. We had upgraded it to a nice solid SSD-based RAID for performance, and woke up one day to a cascade of drive failures. "Fixed with a firmware update" really, really doesn't restore our trust in that vendor...

(no data was lost, because I had three separate backups and a replica server running on a different brand of SSDs)

7 For even more fun, multiple people on Reddit reported that they had service contracts with a company that clearly didn't have enough stock on hand, because in spite of a 6-hour SLA it took them days to get the handful of replacement drives they needed.

8 So a Threadripper might be a bit much for my next home gaming machine, what's a more practical price/performance ratio?

9 I find a 3600X (paired with an RTX 2070) to be great in games.  Reviewers suggest you could probably get a 3600 instead & save some money for almost no performance loss.

Apple pies are delicious. But never mind apple pies. What colour is a green orange?
