Only delivers 6.5GB per second reads and 5GB per second writes, so doesn't deliver the full potential of PCIe 4 just yet. Maybe they'll get that just in time for PCIe 5.

Still no actual details, but it appears that this iteration has the same bandwidth as Thunderbolt 3, but supports USB up to at least 3.2 2x2. Whether it is the same thing as USB 4 or a different, semi-compatible standard remains to be seen. And Intel isn't saying.

IBM has been the major backer of Swift web framework Kitura.
I tried out Swift for web services a couple of years ago, and a little testing showed that it was clearly not ready for production back then and also was no faster than Python when using PyPy. And its JSON handling was a train wreck.

Great, Google's going to read webpages now? It's not bad enough that so many tech sites are doing videos instead of written articles, meaning I have to to spend 20 minutes listening to something I could've read in three, but now I'll get the same slowdown with the web pages that are left.

Web notifications are incredibly annoying. All kinds of sites--especially tech and news sites--love them. Worse, they're not content to just use those, but they license libraries that pester you every single day, because just blocking regular browser notifications wasn't enough.
Hell, I'm ready to disable Windows 10's desktop notifications, because Outlook spams me every time I get an email. (Yeah, I could probably turn that off in Outlook instead, I know.)

2K20 "bug": Progress offers an interesting command-line switch that lets you select what the article calls your pivot year; 4-digit years always work correctly, but 2-digit years are interpreted bases on that. The fun thing is it's supposed to be future-proof in that (in theory) it's not limited to the 19th/20th century but will also work in the 21st/22nd centuries.

Re Progress - I remember that. I was using Progress back in the late 90s, though we actually went through all our code and fixed every last two-digit year.
