1 It took a bit of reading the slides, but the Ampere chips are "Arm-v8.6+", which dates back to around 2019.  The current A profiles are 9.4 and 8.9.

2 Wikipedia's possibly a bit behind, but it says the Apple M2 and A15's big cores are using Arm-v8.4, and Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 gen 2 uses 9.0.

3 I think Crowdstrike responding with an apology and an offer of a $10 gift card pretty much guarantees that they're going to face large lawsuits. Although I don't know what the ToS says about liability, arbitration, etc, and if that will even matter at this level of screw up.
My company won't know how much it cost us until the quarter settles, but we're estimating $200k or so.
