Why Anything?

I have a lengthy post in the works in which I explain, well, pretty much everything:
  • Why the French, who individually are often perfectly nice people, have collectively given the world... France.

  • Why lefty protestors have dirty hair.

  • Why the Great American Democratic hope is none of the above.

  • Why the 20th century was what it was.

  • Why we are here, and where we are going.

  • And, last but not least, how to explain your viewpoint to followers of Michael Moore and Noam Chomsky.*
I may end up posting it in sections, since part 1 (of at least 3 parts) is done. We'll see.

* The philosophical methodologies described in the article may be illegal outside of Texas. Check local statutes before applying.

1 It's good you're not trying to do too much at once.

2 Yeah, wouldn't want to overreach. :) Part 1 will be up tonight.

3 Part 1 won't be up tonight. It's finished, but I don't think it really stands alone. Without at least part 2, all you get is half an introduction to the history of philosophy. Kind of pointless. Working on part 2 now. Anyway, the probable structure is: Part 1: On the Shores of the Sea of Thought (completed) Part 2: Berkeley's Demon (in progress) Part 3: Occam's Razor, Yahzi's Bat Part 4: Two Cultures, Two Worlds

4 You forgot Part 5: A partridge in a Pear Tree. ;-)

5 Part 1 is 3000 words... I didn't set out to write a book, darn it!
