Anime

Chrno Crusade

Nuns with guns.

Nuns with guns in 1920s New York.

Nuns with guns in 1920s New York fighting demons.

And destroying everything in their path, Dirty Pair style.

1 Shame it's so very, very dull. I class it with Lost Universe - a copy-of-a-copy clone of Slayers. Yeah, there's freaky stuff to come, but I can't get up the energy to care. Of course, I feel the same way about Full Metal Alchemist, which is the second coming of cool among the hip kids this season. Take it as you will. Watching el cheapo DVDs of the Silent Moebius TV anime. God, it sucks. Early digital piece-of-shit. It doesn't even have decent fan service. What kind of group-of-cute-working-girls anime doesn't have any fan service? The movies had enough. As if this crap was edited for Christian television. Except for all the, you know, pagan Eastern devil-worship. I am torn between the shippy girlporn of Maria-sama ga Miteru and the shameless cheesecake of Daphne in the Brilliant Blue. Fear my stream-of-consciousness.

2 Well, I've only watched 4 episodes, and I think it's okay-ish so far. I agree with you about Lost Universe, though. I actually paid for that, and never bothered watching it past volume 2. Full Metal Alchemist I'd give a mixed review to; it's got some good ideas, but some of the episodes are just a waste of time. I've been downloading Daphne but haven't watched it yet. Thanks for the "recommendation"! :)
